606 Movers’ Guide to Summer Festivals and Events 9/13-9/15

Chicago has erratic weather all year around and this September is no exception. While cooler temperatures made an appearance at the end of August, they didn’t stick around. Now it’s warm once again and while we don’t know how long it’ll last, make the most of the summer-like weather by heading out and exploring some wonderful neighborhoods and events around the city. 

World Music Festival Chicago

September 13th – 29th

This weekend kicks off the 21st Annual World Music Festival and will continue over the next few weeks, ending September 29th.You’ll be able to listen to and experience a wide variety of international music taking place at multiple venues around Chicago. It’s a great way to explore the city and support extraordinary musicians. 

Dessert Fest at the Zoo

September 14th

Lincoln Park Zoo

If you love dessert as much as I do, be sure to check out this fun event at the Lincoln Park Zoo. There will be dessert tastings, champagne and beer, and fun animal programming. Chicago favorites like Stan’s Donuts and Bittersweet will be providing delicious treats. It’s also important to note that a large portion of the proceeds will benefit the Lincoln Park Zoo as well. 

Ravenswood Art Walk

September 14th – 15th

Ravenswood Ave from Irving Park Rd to Leland

The 18th annual Ravenswood Art Walk will highlight the artists that call this creative neighborhood home. Swing by enjoy the outdoor market, beer garden, live music, food trucks, and much more.
