What days do you perform moves?
We perform moves 7 days a week. To schedule your move, our office hours are Monday to Thursday 9 AM to 4 PM and Friday 9 AM to 12 PM,
What are your prices?
We charge per hour, which varies based on your inventory list, the distance between your locations, and the number of crew members needed for your move.
Do you have an hourly minimum?
We do require a minimum of 2 hours; after that, the price is prorated every 15 minutes, so you only ever pay for the actual time it takes to complete your move.
How far in advance should I schedule my move?
As far in advance as possible, especially if you foresee any restraints or caveats. Our busiest season is the summer months, so booking your move early is always recommended. We do not require any deposits, nor do we charge cancellation fees. In addition, we will always do our best to make adjustments or perform any last-minute requests.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept cash, cashier’s checks, money orders, credit card (small processing fee) and Zelle.
Do you require a deposit?
Nope! No deposit is required. However, if you need to cancel or reschedule your move with us for any reason, we politely request as much notice as possible so that we may make your original date and time available to another customer.
What size moves can you accommodate?
We perform moves of all sizes, whether residential, office, or commercial moves. Even if it is just a few items or 4 plus bedroom home, we’ll get it done.
What areas do you service?
Primarily the Chicagoland area and neighboring suburbs.
What is a standard tip for my movers?
Tipping is optional but always appreciated. Our movers are only able to accept cash tips.
What happens if something gets damaged during my move?
While damages are rare, given the nature of the industry, they can occur. Please report any damages to your move coordinator, and we will do our best to take care of them.
Do you provide equipment for my move?
Our moving trucks are equipped with dollies, moving blankets, and wardrobe boxes.
What if my move takes less or more time than the estimate?
After the 2 hour minimum, your move is prorated every 15 minutes, so you only pay for the actual time your move takes. The estimate is a rough estimate and can vary from the final move cost due to the furniture actually moved, driving distances, the layout of the buildings, traffic, and/or unforeseen circumstances. We try to estimate on the high end to provide a reasonable buffer but unfortunately, moving is not an exact science.
Can I help during the move?
The best way you can help is to be as prepared as possible before moving day. While you’re more than welcome to help move small things here and there, our crews have an experienced flow and move as efficiently as possible. With speed and safety in mind, it’s okay to let us do the heavy lifting and the majority of the move.
What happens if I have more or fewer items than I included for my estimate?
If there are more or fewer items, the move time and price will adjust accordingly. We use your inventory to determine the size of the truck and the number of movers. If your inventory fluctuates dramatically, please let us know to adjust the estimate and requirements for the move.
Do you pack TVs?
Yes. TVs are fragile, so we do require all TVs to be boxed. If you do not have a TV box, our crew can make one for an additional fee of $25.
Do I need to pack lamps?
All fragile items such as lamps should be boxed. Our crew can help with packing, but if custom boxes are needed, additional fees may apply.
Will the movers take a lunch break?
Our crew doesn’t typically take any breaks during your move; unless the move is quite long, then they may need to eat while in transit.
Can you move plants?
We definitely can; however, they should not be freshly watered ahead of your move date. In addition, there is no way of protecting them in the truck while in transit, so some clients prefer to move those ahead of time. Plant parents, beware!
What can’t the movers move?
We can’t move anything deemed dangerous or a fire hazard, such as but not limited to firearms, gas tanks, open containers, and cleaning supplies. Our top priority is the safety of your items and our team.
Can I leave my drawers full and tape them shut?
All drawers must be emptied for the safety of our crew and your furniture. Items within drawers dramatically increase the weight of furniture and can be dangerous if the drawers were to come out during transit.
Can the movers disassemble, reassemble, and wrap my furniture?
Yes. We do disassemble and reassemble furniture as needed. We also provide moving blankets on the day of the move to wrap all items before loading the truck.
What is shrink wrap, and should we use it?
To ensure the best protection we highly recommend wrapping any upholstered and leather items in shrink wrap. We can provide this service at a charge of $10 per item wrapped.
How do I get a cashier’s check if I don’t know the total until the end of the move?
We recommend getting a cashier’s check for the estimated amount. If the move takes additional time, you can pay the difference in cash. If the move takes less time, we will issue a refund check for the difference. You will receive a receipt – BOL (Bill of Lading), upon completion of your move.
Do you offer storage?
Unfortunately, not at this time. We can move you into and out of a storage facility of your choice.
Can I cancel or reschedule my move after booking it?
Yes! We do ask to be notified at least 72 hours ahead of time to cancel or reschedule a move, but there are no fees.
